One of the many, many beautiful waterfalls (a foss) in Iceland, which aren't grand enough to warrant mention in the tourbooks, but which had
me slamming on the brakes every other mile, to make a few captures.

Thanks, Lindley! While the big "touristy" falls were stunning, this is perhaps my favorite falls capture from the trip. #10353156Ellen Hodges October 03, 2012

I know you consider yourself an architectural specialist, Chris, but your landscape captures from this trip are second to none. This is a perfect example - spectacularly beautiful composition. Gorgeous water veiling, beautiful verdant greens, exquisite detail and clarity. It must be an extraordinarily beautiful country. #10384527Chris Budny October 26, 2012
Thanks again, Rona! Another personal favorite of mine as well!Sylvia Rourke April 15, 2013

Thank you, Sylvia! #10655600Ken Smith May 16, 2013
That's amazing...that it doesn't even show up on the main listings of waterfalls...does it go dry later in the year. Regardless...beautiful scene/comp, Chris! #10696678Chris Budny May 17, 2013
Thanks, Ken! I don't know if this particular falls is seasonal or not... there were so many falls, everywhere it seemed, that only the biggest/grandest (and that's still a lot) seem to get write-ups. But covering so much territory (1,200 miles in the end) we just kept stumbling across more and more, from barely a trickling stream, to more impressive ones like this. (And all that, only visible from the main highway - we didn't have an SUV to go into the interior...)Tammy Espino May 26, 2013
congrats on this amazing finalist capture!! #10707987Chris Budny May 27, 2013
